memorial day sale roundup

Hey birdies!

Who’s excited for the impending three-day weekend? *Points thumbs at chest excitedly* This girl!!! If you want to fit any thrifting in between beaching & barbecuing or whatever other fun activities you have planned, Monday’s the day to do it. Here’s a quick roundup of sales, happening this weekend.

Goodwill
50 percent off blue, green and yellow tags, and 50 percent off all furniture. Stores will be open on Monday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

Salvation Army Thrift Stores
Clothing will be 50 percent off on Monday, and stores will keep their regular business hours.

Arc’s Value Village Thrift Stores
All merchandise (except white & orange-tagged goodies) will be 50 percent off. Monday, 9 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Second Début
All apparel, accessories and shoes will be 25 percent off on Monday. The stores will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Savers
Take 50 percent off all clothing, shoes, accessories and items tagged “bed & bath.”  Stores will be open bright and early at 7 a.m. all the way until 9 p.m.

Unique
VIP card-holders will get 50 percent off their entire purchase. Stores will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Since Savers is usually a bit too spendy for me, not to mention I’m a total early bird, I think I’ll most likely be hitting up that sale and probably going to a Salvation Army (or two).

Happy shopping!

tomorrow: goodwill’s red tag sale

Heads up thrifters!

source.

Goodwill’s Red Tag sale is happening tomorrow, Saturday, April 17th. Everything with a red tag, from clothes to housewares, shoes to electronics, will be 50 percent off. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wondering which Goodwill to go to? A list of store locations in the Twin Cities can be found here.

I’ve had good luck finding both vintage and new clothes at the Goodwill in Hopkins. There’s also a big one by the Bethesda Dress for Less Thrift in Maplewood. Do you have a favorite? If so, hit it up on Saturday and let me know what discounted treasures you find! Happy thrifting!

xoxo,

Meghan

easter-week sales round up

You don’t have to celebrate Easter to enjoy thrift-store savings. Here’s a quick list of sales happening this week.

Second Début
Break open a fortune cookie to reveal your savings—15, 20, 25 or 30 percent off your total purchase this Saturday, April 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Every cookie is a winner so stretching your money is guaranteed.

St. Paul Animal Ark Thrift Store
Take 50 percent off Easter items and save 25 percent on all art work this week. Heads up cooks: All brown dishes (bean pots, crocks, serving dishes, etc.) are also 50 percent off and the selection at Ark is out of hand. I spied a set of four lidded, individual serving crocks for around $5 and that’s before the half-off discount.

Goodwill
Putting together a last-minute Easter basket on a shoestring budget is easy with 75 percent off everything Easter-related. This offer’s running at all 12 metro-area Goodwill stores.

Assistance League Thrift Shop
Stock up on belts, purses, scarves and jewelry—they’re all75 percent off this week. Easter items are also on sale, but the selection is pretty picked over as of today.

St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores
The Minneapolis store (2939 12th Ave. S.) is offering 50 percent off all things Easter. The St. Paul store (461 W. 7th St.) is offering 30 percent off anything related to the holiday.

Unique Thrift Stores
Take home Easter items for half-price at both the Crystal (4471 Winnetka Ave.) and Minneapolis (2201 37th Ave. NE) locations.

Hidden Treasures Thrift Store
Save across the board at this small St. Anthony thrift store—spring jackets, Easter items, media (including CDs, vinyl, etc.) and all items with purple tags are on sale this week.

I’ll update this list as I learn of more deals. If you know of any, drop me a line!

Now hop to it!
