Tonight, my sweet potato and I are going to see Booker T and the MGs at the Dakota.

I’m so excited.

I love the album cover of their 1970 release, “McLemore Avenue.” See the Stax studio marquee on the far left? I want to visit Memphis so I can see Soulsville USA, thrift and eat barbecue until I burst.
(And, I’m totally going to be cheesy and walk across McLemore just like this, and of course, make someone snap my pic. Because I’m sure no one’s done that before.)
