Today over on Beauty Bets, I outlined my top three reasons for getting Naked…Urban Decay’s Naked2 Palette, to be exact. That’s it up there on my hotel-room vanity. The palette (along with my flavor-of-the-week mascara) is the only eye makeup I needed to tote with me on this trip. Do check out the post if you have a moment!

As far as I’m concerned, big hair is the best hair. So today on Beauty Bets, I’m sharing a few of my favorite drugstore products and styling tools that I use on the regular to achieve ultra-big looks. I have so much to say about huge hair, next week I’ll be spilling some tried-and-true teasing methods and sharing links to vids that helped me hone my back-combing skills.

I hope you enjoy!

I’ve gotten a few questions lately about what clean, green, affordable beauty products I’d recommend, so today, over on Beauty Bets, I’m sharing a few good-for-you facial cleansers that I love. And, despite the myths that everything eco-friendly is A. expensive and B. hard to obtain, all of ‘em are priced under $10 and available at your local drugstore, Target or food co-op. Please check it out if you’re so inclined. I hope you all have beautiful Wednesdays!

Today over on Beauty Bets, I shared a bunch of beauty-related, gift-y DIYs I want to make this holiday season. The bows pictured above (c/o Oh So Lovely via My Girl Thursday) didn’t make it into the story, but I really love them. So, please go check out that how-to too. (Too. To. Tutu!) I figure if anything’s going to entice me to dust off the ole’ glue gun, it’s making pretty (pink) bows for my girls. For more fun budget-friendly crafty ideas like this, pop on over to Beauty Bets and read my post.

Also…I hope your Wednesdays are wonderful!

If you have a spare minute today, please go check out this week’s Beauty Thrifter post over at Beauty Bets. I recently discovered a $7.99 salon service that has, honest-to-God, brought my super-fried summer hair back to life.

P.S. How magical is this photo? I discovered it buried in this super rad Flickr that’s just chockful of intriguing vintage photographs.

Do y’all remember John Frieda’s beach blonde sea salt spray? I rocked that stuff out like crazy in high school! Sadly, the geniuses at JF discontinued it eons ago. (Bring it baaaaack!) Happily, I’m a make-do kinda gal and have been whipping up my own version in my kitchen for ages. It’s ridiculously easy to crank out at home and costs next to nothing. And really, why would you pay more than a few bucks for glorified salt water!? Anyway, you’ll have to hop on over to Beauty Bets today to read my whole how to. I hope you enjoy!
